Curated Palettes, Composed by Design
Our edits bring stone, colour and shape together into complete palettes, each one built around a mood, a light and a way of living.
At The Design Palette, our edits are where curation becomes creative direction. Rather than browsing by a single stone or colour, each edit brings together natural stone mosaics that belong in the same room: materials chosen to sit beside one another, share a tone and tell one cohesive story.
Each edit draws from our full collection, from the soft neutrals of Botticino, Crema Marfil and Travertine to the depth of Taj Green and Rosso Levanto, translated into arabesque, arch, KitKat, herringbone, penny round and artisan formats. Based in Sydney and supplying projects across Australia, we create our edits for architects, interior designers, builders and homeowners who think in palettes, not single products.

Stone edit
coastal retreat
Light-filled, breezy and calm. Sandy Crema Marfil, Botticino, Travertine and soft blush stone, in tumbled arabesque, KitKat, herringbone and artisan formats inspired by sun-drenched homes and slow living.

Stone edit
umbra
Shadow, depth and presence. Deep Taj Green, black and the intensity of Rosso Levanto, an edit that explores contrast as a design language. Umbra is Latin for shadow.

The Art of the Edit
Every considered interior begins with a material palette. Designers have long worked this way: pinning samples side by side, testing stone against timber, linen, plaster and light, until the pieces feel as though they were always meant to be together. A stone that looks beautiful alone can feel entirely different beside its neighbours.
Our edits do that work for you. Each one starts with a feeling, the ease of a coastal home or the quiet power of shadow and depth, and is composed through colour, texture and form. Tumbled finishes soften. Honed finishes calm. Curves bring movement, and contrast brings presence.
The result is a starting point rather than a rulebook. Use an edit as a complete palette, or take a single stone from it and build your own.
Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful.
